COVID-19
Protecting Our Clients & Staff
Prior to your appointment
A COVID-19 questionnaire will be sent to you prior to your appointment by your preferred contact method (text, email, phone). Anyone with COVID symptoms or anyone who has been in contact with a COVID positive person is asked to reschedule their appointment
PPE
Masks must be worn in the office at all times and only removed during your treatment. All clinicians will be wearing the recommended protective equipment including a fit tested N95 respirator, face shield, and an isolation gown.
Preparing your room
To ensure the safety of our clients, we block off 30 minutes between each client to ensure that the treatment room is properly sanitized. Our Jade Air Purifier System uses a HEPA filter, carbon filter, and a UV sterilizer to purify the air and all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected.
Aerosols
One of the biggest concerns with providing dental care during the pandemic are the aerosols that can be created. You will be asked to complete a preprocedural rinse to reduce aerosol microbes. We minimize aerosol generating procedures and use high volume suctions to reduce aerosols. The treatment room is kept closed to prevent any aerosols from circulating throughout the office.
Once you arrive
Upon your arrival, your temperature will be taken, hands sanitized, and your COVID screening reviewed. You will then be brought into your treatment room. To minimize the use of the waiting room, we ask that only those with an appointment and one caregiver/parent enter the office.
Sterilization
Sterilization protocols are set out by Public Health Ontario. We are diligent in following all protocols and recording these protocols to ensure our client's safety. We encourage you to ask any questions with regards to our sterilization protocols.
