Katherine Marten, RDH
Katherine graduated from Durham College as a dental assistant and worked in a progressive dental practice for over six years before returning to college to pursue a career in dental hygiene. In 2007 she graduated from Oxford College and was the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for clinical excellence and the Dental Hygiene Community Achievement Award.
Following graduation, she traveled to Honduras where she volunteered in a dental clinic before joining a busy periodontal office. Katherine became a self-initiated dental hygienist in 2013, which allows her to practice independently from a dentist.
Combining her passion for health and wellness with her desire to serve those in the community, Katherine founded LifeSmiles Dental Hygiene. As an independent dental hygienist, she strives to improve access to oral healthcare and to provide natural solutions for oral health.
